The Accelerated Liftoff List will be featuring 25 of the most promising student companies from around the country! Why apply?

List will be distributed to thousands of potential investors, partners, and employees via the Accelerated newsletter and a national tech publication
3 companies will pitch live to a panel of VC judges (see below!)
1 company will win a $100k convertible note from venture capital firm CRV

Meet the Judges

Judges

Saar is a general partner at CRV, where he has invested in companies including DoorDash, ClassPass, Patreon, and Ring. He focuses on early stage consumer and SMB companies. Prior to CRV, he was a co-founder of BrightRoll, a leading video ad platform acquired by Yahoo for $640M.

Hunter is a partner at Homebrew, where he invests in seed stage startups, focused on mission-driven companies tackling big ideas. His portfolio includes ShieldAI, The Skimm, Cruise, and Managed by Q. Hunter was previously a director of product management at Google.

Alexia is the founder of and a general partner at Dream Machine, an opportunistic seed fund focused on consumer and frontier tech. Dream Machine was founded in 2017, and the team has made 13 investments thus far. Alexia was formerly the co-Editor-in-Chief of TechCrunch.

Ryan Hoover is the founder of Product Hunt, which was acquired by AngelList in 2016. He is also the founder of and an investor at Weekend Fund, an early stage VC firm established in 2017. Weekend Fund’s portfolio includes Intercom, Tandem, and YOLO.

Eligibility Requirements

Must have a live product - it could be software, a physical product, an app, etc.
At least one founder must be currently enrolled in college or graduated in 2019
Companies cannot be projects from research labs that do not yet have commercial applications
Students from all degree programs can apply! (e.g. undergrad, MBA, JD, PhD)
Must be based in the U.S. or Canada
